Dedication...

Eeek! I have been so busy lately. The holidays were as usual, stressful but amazing! This was my first Holiday season without my family. It was different, but I spent the holidays instead with my boyfriends family. It was incredibly enjoyable. I loved it! Now I have more time for blogging!!! Yippee!

Soooo, I have been on my marathon training journey and it is going amazing. I am on week 2. Each time I run I feel a sense of freedom and strength, mentally and physically. The thought of running 26.2 miles is intriguing and challenging. I know I can do it. Having grown up an athlete my whole life, I expect I will do very well and conquer my goals with marathon training and running. I am dedicated...honestly, wholly and fully dedicated. This particular photograph was taken of myself a couple years ago when I first got into mountain and trail running. Living in Alaska offers so many different easy and challenging trails, roads and of course different running environments.

I look at this photograph to remind myself: 1)Why I love living in Alaska, despite hating the cold weather (anything under 10 degrees is super lame!). The Alaskan scenery is brilliantly beautiful, and this trail that I ran/run is one of my favourites. 2)At the time this photograph was taken I was in impeccable training shape. I had just competed in my first bodybuilding bikini competition and ran countless road and trail races that summer. This photograph is a reminder of the athletic prowess I know I have, and that I have the motivation and dedication to be a better athlete....I know I can and will.
